100th PNP draw of Manitoba: Invited 191 Candidates
Manitoba’s latest provincial draw to apply for provincial nomination for permanent residency issued 191 invitations for immigration candidates. And with this draw Manitoba has completed 100 draws since the program began in April 2014.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited skilled workers and international graduates through three immigration streams:
Skilled workers in manitoba,
International education stream,
Skilled Worker Overseas.
The draw brings the total invitation cards this year, also known as Letters of Advice (LAAs), to 3,671.
LAAs were distributed as follows in immigration streams, along with their minimum required expression of interest (EOI) score.
Skilled Workers in Manitoba – 152 LAAs with a minimum EOI score of at least 528;
Skilled Workers Migrant – 14 LAAs with a minimum EOI score of at least 611;
International Education – 25 LAA with no minimum marks required.
Express entry
Among the LAAs released today, 18 went to candidates with valid profiles in the Federal Express entry system.
Candidates who qualify for the express entry pool are ranked based on a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that considers human capital factors such as age, work experience, education, and language ability.
Candidates with the highest-scoring are invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada through regular draws from the express entry pool.
Those who receive a provincial nomination are awarded 600 additional CRS points and are guaranteed an invitation to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship from Canada Applicable (ITA).
In this draw, express entry candidates receiving provincial nominations from Manitoba declared a valid Express Entry ID and provided a job seeker verification code.
Manitoba’s EOI System
Those who wish to immigrate through Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) are required to file an expression of interest with the MPNP to obtain LAA through streams of skilled workers and skilled workers in Manitoba.
Under the Manitoba system, such candidates are ranked beyond the 1,000 marks for human capital characteristics such as their English or French language skills, education, work experience, Manitoba connection, and other factors.
About Manitoba immigration streams
The skilled labor migrant category and skilled labor in the Manitoba streams allow the province to designate skilled workers who can support the needs of Manitoba’s labor market.
Those applying from overseas need to form an established relationship with Manitoba. This can be demonstrated through close family ties or friends in the province, previous experience in Manitoba, or an invitation under one of the MPNP’s strategic recruitment initiatives.
Candidates do not have to be physically present in Manitoba to be eligible.
Successful candidates in skilled workers in the Manitoba category must meet certain criteria, such as a full-time permanent job offer from an employer in Manitoba.
International students graduating from an educational institution in Manitoba may receive an LAA under the International Education Stream if they have in-demand skills.
