Could this be the last PNP draw?
The media spoke with Immigration Minister Sean Fraser at the Collision Conference in Toronto, where the minister said IRCC is “tentatively” trying to resume all-program draws on July 6.
This past April, Fraser declared that express Entry invites for Federal skilled worker Program (FSWP) and Canadian experience class (CEC) candidates can resume by early July, however at that point did not provide a date.

IRCC’s application inventory of the 3 express Entry programs has improved since the announcement. As of June 1, it stands at 31,603 persons compared to 40,889 at the end of April.
Although all-program draws could resume in two weeks, it should not be the top of PNP draws forever. Before the pandemic, IRCC often held PNP-only draws. IRCC sees the PNP as paramount to supporting the economic development regions across Canada.
Further, Bill C-19 is on its way to being passed in Canadian Parliament, which can permit IRCC to ask candidates whose profiles match the government’s economic priorities. as an example, the government might hold occupation-specific draws for candidates who are working in an occupation wherever there’s a labour shortage.
