This week, Ontario, British Columbia (BC) and Saskatchewan have issued provincial immigration invitations to qualified candidates,
Across Canada, 11 of the country’s 13 provinces and territories – with the exception of Nunavut and Quebec – use the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), which allows local governments in each participating territory to select skilled immigrants they deem best suited to meet local labour market needs and minimize regional demographic challenges.
Comment: Although immigration is a shared responsibility between Canadian governments at the federal and provincial/territorial level, The PNP does not operate in Quebec. This is because that province’s local government has an agreement with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that allows Quebec to retain greater authority over provincial economic immigration.

Provincial Immigration Results from June 8 to June 14
Ontario
For the first time in nearly two months, Ontario has issued invitations through its Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). These invitations were issued through two separate draws on June 11, 2024.
In the first draw, under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream, the OINP issued 124 invitations to candidates who may qualify as early childhood educators and assistants (National Occupation Classification (NOC) 42202). Candidates with scores of 43 and above were invited in this draw.
In a separate draw on June 11, the OINP also issued 120 invitations to candidates in a targeted draw through its Employer Job Offers: International Students stream. This draw was also for candidates who may qualify as early childhood teachers and assistants, but a minimum score of 65 was required for this draw.
British Columbia
On June 11, British Columbia held another British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) general draw.
In this draw, BC issued 39 invitations to immigration candidates from five BCPNP streams. As has been the case in 2024, the streams targeted by this draw include:
- skilled worker
- Skilled Workers – Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) Option
- International Graduates
- International Graduates – EEBC Option
- Entry Level & Semi-Skilled
Comment: For all streams except “Entry Level and Semi-Skilled”, candidates were required to score a minimum of 131 marks in the June 11 draw. At the same time, entry level and semi-skilled candidates were required to score a minimum of 110 marks.
In addition to the above, on June 11, BC also held a targeted draw, issuing 27 invitations to candidates across three professional categories.
- Six invitations issued to child care candidates with 93 minimum scores
- Nine invitations were issued to candidates with 93 minimum marks for the construction sector
- 12 invitations issued to healthcare candidates with a minimum of 102 points
Saskatchewan
For the first time since March 2024, Saskatchewan will hold a provincial immigration draw on June 13, 2024 through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nomination Program (SINP).
In the first of two draws under the Express Entry stream of the SINP, Saskatchewan invited 88 candidates who had professional work experience in certain occupations. On June 13, candidates invited under this stream were required to have a minimum of 88 points.
The second SINP draw, held on June 13, invited an additional 32 candidates through the program’s Occupation In-Demand stream. Once again, this draw targeted candidates with specific professional employment experience. These candidates also required a minimum score of 88.
Comment: Both draws invited only candidates who had an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) “or who were educated in Canada.” To see which occupations* the SINP deemed eligible for each June 13 draw, separated by NOC, click here.
