The Department of Home Affairs (Doha) released the statistical analysis of the 11th September 2019 “Skill Select EOI Invitation Round” results.
Who can get an ITA (Invitation to apply) from Australia?
1. Skill Select EOI Invitation Round is for people who lodged an Expression of Interest (EOI)
2. Submitted EOI’s must be for the General Skilled Migration or “GSM” stream of visa subclasses
3. The two GSM visa subclasses are Skilled Independent Subclass 189,Skilled Family Sponsored subclass 489(Australian Provisional visa).
100 invitations have been sent under sub class 189 visas to the candidates who have submitted their EOI in the Skill Select pool. The same 100 invitations have been sent to Subclass 489, to the candidate who has submitted their EOI under Family sponsorship visa.
Pro rata occupations
Pro rata occupations mean those classified occupations high in demand in Australia. Skill Select first allocates places to SC189 visas, and then if there are places available, to the SC489 family sponsored visas. If it takes all places up by SC189 visa applications, it will issue no SC489 invitations.
